We’ve heard it’s not what we say, it’s how we say it. But could specific words actually prompt donors to give more money?

A recent study shows that female donors gave significantly more — 21% — when they heard one of these adjectives on a solicitation call: caring, friendly, kind, compassionate and helpful.
